"MOTO GUZZI FALCONE": DYNAMOMETER TESTS VARYING THE EXHAUST PIPE LENGHTS

The dynamometer model used for these tests is a Soft-Engine "Braker 150", a braked dynamometer. Tested motorbike, instad, is a "Moto Guzzi Falcone 1950". Different exhaust systems have been tested, varying the pipe lenght, and our production crankcase were mounted. Besides, tests of carburation have been made.

THE RESULTS AND MORE INFORMATION ARE PUBLISHED ON:

"IL MANUALE DI INGEGNERIA D'EPOCA" ("The handbook of classic engineering") VOL. 1

During this session of tests at dynamometer we investigated the influence of the silencers (standard and also modified) on the engine performances. Besides, we have realized a lot of tests varying the length of the exhaust direct pipe: there are very interesting results about the horsepower and torque curves, allowing to understand better the tuning of the engine exhaust pipe. The complete report of these results is published in "Il manuale di ingegneria d'epoca" ("The handbook of classic engineering"), volume 1 available on demand.
